Chassis Re-CAD
What I did:
Re-CAD’d the entire legacy chassis and suspension in Onshape to match the as-manufactured geometry, correcting inaccuracies in the original CAD and incorporating vendor changes that were only communicated externally. This established a single, accurate master model that other team members could derive directly into their Part Studios, ensuring consistent interfaces and eliminating fitment errors across subsystems.
Also re-CAD’d the full suspension system using parametric tube stock and functional assemblies, including ball joints and differential linkages, enabling realistic motion, clearance validation, and integration. These assemblies serve as the foundation for all higher-level rover assemblies, allowing reliable packaging, mounting, and system-level design.
