Introduction to Mechanical Design - Robot Competition
MAE 3 Mechanical Design Robot – UC San Diego (fall 2024)
In a team of four, designed and built a competition robot within a 12"x12"x12" constraint to manipulate hacky sacks and marbles into seesaws with custom end cups, as part of a course-wide mechanical design challenge. Out of 80 teams, our robot placed 4th overall and earned the Best Design Award.
My Role: Led Onshape CAD and oversaw manufacturing, working within constraints of provided materials including acrylic, metal scrap, and basic hardware. Designed functional linkages and assemblies optimized for precise manipulation and structural integrity.

Introduction to Mechanical Design - Pendulum Clock
Pendulum Clock Project – MAE 3: Introduction to Mechanical Design (Fall 2024)
Designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested a fully functional pendulum clock using laser-cut acrylic, a custom escapement wheel, and basic hardware. The project emphasized precise mechanical timing and tolerancing.
Worked through the full design cycle—from concept to evaluation—while applying hands-on fabrication skills and mechanical design principles to create a consistent timekeeping mechanism.
